Joe has worked at Alta since 1985, when they were called “The Diagnostic and Evaluation Clinic” (D&E). He started as a psychometrician, completing psychological and mental health assessments with children and adolescents for various child-serving entities (juvenile court, children’s services, schools, domestic relations, etc.). Joe has grown with the organization since that time as we evolved from an assessment agency to a comprehensive community behavioral health center serving Mahoning and Trumbull County as well as. Through the years at Alta,Joe has worked as an intensive home-based therapist, outpatient therapist, school-based therapist, supervisor, program director, department director, clinical director, and now is very fortunate to be able to lead our organization as CEO. Joe is a proud graduate of Ursuline High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kent State University. He has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University and a master’s degree in education (counseling) from Youngstown State University. Joe is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S).
